SUBACUTE UNIT

Our 38-bed subacute unit provides inpatient care to patients who can be discharged from a hospital, but require comprehensive, complex care and rehabilitation services. Our caring nursing and rehabilitative staff provides a bridge between hospital and home.The unit is located within our hospital, which enables us to provide care for a variety of complex diagnoses. Additionally, the subacute unit has the benefit of onsite physician services.

Subacute patients usually require between 45 to 720 minutes of therapy a week. Our skilled and caring team works to meet individual patient goals. Services provided at the Brea subacute unit include ventilator weaning, C-PAP/Bi-PAP, peripheral and central line/PICC management, wound care, IV therapy management, pain management, respiratory care, tube feeding and management of an array of clinically complex care including pneumonia, stroke, orthopedic injury/surgery, diabetes and chemotherapy. The Brea subacute unit is Medicare certified.
